It was a pleasure to record Steve's Back Story recently. Steve was one of the top tennis players in the country playing with Jeremy Bates and Andrew Castle back in the day. He's a loving son, a proud father, a new grandfather and a strong cancer survivor. Oh, and he also won an Olympic Gold medal as a member of the triumphant GB hockey team in Seoul 1988 🥇😉
It was so great to hear Vivienne's Back Story recently; the stories of her life and the music that accompanied them. From Kenya to Hampshire via Hong Kong with music ranging from Jim Reeves to her grand-daughter @elosmusic.
I interviewed Norman recently and absolutely loved it. His Back Story is incredibly rich and varied, highlighted by his music selections. From skiffle bands at St Andrew’s University, a long career in teaching foreign languages, playing hockey for Scotland, three children, umpteen grandchildren and so much more. A life well lived and still going strong!
Chantal is Norman’s (see above) daughter. Grown up children gifting Back Story to their parents is probably the most common way in which Back Story interviews happen. It’s not just about the interview and the interviewee. It’s about how their story and soundtrack affects others, now, and for generations to come.
